Our Story

"There are only four kinds of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregiving"

— Mrs. Rosalynn Carter, Former U.S. First Lady

Caregiving is a universal experience that touches us all. For our founder Emily Wang, this journey began when she started caring for her grandmother. Emily and her grandmother were placed an one-year waitlist to see a neurologist. After the visit, they were handed generic PDFs and told to come back in a year.

But they were not alone. Millions of older adults are unable to access expert support for their cognition and quality of life. And as the U.S. turns into an aging nation, and dementia cases are expected to triple by 2050, we are facing an urgent caregiving crisis.

That's why we founded Beaver. We chose the name "Beaver" because beavers have strong work ethic, are family-centered, and build robust dwellings that improve the health of the entire ecosystem.

Backed by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Harvard Innovation Labs, Beaver Health aims to provide families with the highest-quality, expert-level cognitive and caregiving support.

From our family to yours, let's bring joy, compassion, support, and good health to our older loved ones!
